On this National Unity Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honors Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

The CMO Office stated in a statement that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hailed the people of the state on National Unity Day, Sunday, ahead of the anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth.

“His contribution in protecting the unity and integrity of the country will always be remembered,” Dhami said while laying flowers at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s monument.

October 31st is National Unity Day commemorated annually. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the country’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, was instrumental in bringing numerous princely states into the Indian Union, according to the Chief Minister. He made a significant contribution to India’s freedom.

In his eulogy, the Chief Minister praised Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, saying that his diplomacy and vision were crucial in creating a united India. CM Dhami was cited in a release as stating, “The younger generation will have to draw inspiration from Sardar Patel’s ideals and contribute to the country’s overall development.”

According to CM Dhami, this day motivates us to commit our lives to serving the country.

From 1947 till 1950, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister. He was a prominent Congress politician who is credited with bringing India’s more than 550 princely kingdoms together to become one nation. He made his opinions on women’s empowerment rather clear.
