PM Narendra Modi: Regional prosperity is essential for national advancement

Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his campaign south on Sunday, claiming at a public gathering in Palnadu, Andhra Pradesh, that the nation was now shouting, “Abki baar 400 paar.”

The prime minister said his government had operated under the motto of regional aspirations and national progress in his first joint speech with National Democratic Alliance partners in the state, TDP president and former Andhra Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan of the Jana Sena Party.

“A double-engine NDA administration in Andhra Pradesh and at the federal level would guarantee the state’s rapid growth. By2047, the NDA hopes to create a Viksit Bharat, and in order to do so, we also need to create a Viksit Andhra Pradesh, he said.

Modi said that significant choices targeted at transformational changes will be made in his third term as PMO, pointing to the government’s economic competence and the fact that India’s economy grew to become the fifth biggest in the world during his second term. He claimed that for the state to flourish more quickly, a two-engine government was required. Speaking on India’s “rising global profile,” the prime minister predicted that a stable and secure India will become a key bulwark in a world becoming more unpredictable.

He was highlighting the challenges facing the world economy and drawing a comparison with “a resilient Indian economy.” He claimed that “the NDA’s development agenda is the talk of the world today” in an attempt to win over voters in a state where the BJP failed to win any of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 General Election. The PM is now on a five-day trip of the South; thus far, he has visited Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Telangana once, and on Monday, he will visit Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. His visit to Andhra today was part of this journey.

His itinerary for the visit includes roadshows in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and rallies in Jagtial, Telangana, and Shivamogga, Karnataka. On May 13, the LS election and the AP Assembly poll will take place concurrently.
