On the same evening, Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host a State Dinner in honor of PM Modi.

On June 22 (Thursday), the prime minister will also address a joint session of the US Congress at the request of congressional leaders Kevin McCarthy, the speaker, and Charles Schumer, the speaker of the senate.

He will deliver his second speech to the US Congress, making history as the first Indian prime minister to do so.

In addition, on June 23, US Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Antony Blinken will host a lunch at the State Department. (Friday)

In addition to his formal engagements, the prime minister is planned to meet with top CEOs, industry experts, and other stakeholders on a number of occasions. He’ll also get to know people from the Indian diaspora.

FIRST EGYPTIAN VISIT BY THE PM

Then, on June 24–25, 2023, PM Modi will go to Cairo for a State Visit to Egypt. When visiting India for Republic Day festivities in January 2023 as the “Chief Guest,” Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi sent an invitation to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister’s trip to Egypt will be his first.

Modi is anticipated to connect with top government officials, well-known figures, the Indian community in Egypt, in addition to his conversations with Sisi.

According to a government statement, relations between India and Egypt are founded on long-standing economic and commercial connections as well as strong cultural and people-to-people relationships.

In January of this year, it was decided to upgrade the connection to a “Strategic Partnership” during President Sisi’s visit to India.
