Priyanka Gandhi, Cong. Gen., will speak at a public gathering in T’gana; former Minister Jupally Krishna Rao will join the party

On July 20, Jupally Krishna Rao, a former minister, and other officials are expected to join the Congress. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be there.

According to Mallu Ravi, a former state legislator and senior vice president of the Congress in the region, the gathering would take place in Kollapur near Mahabubnagar, around 160 kilometers from Hyderabad.

He told PTI here that Kuchukulla Damodar Reddy, a current MLC for the BRS, will join the party with Jupally Krishna Rao.

A boost for the party in Telangana has been provided by Jupally Krishna Rao and former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s decision to join the Congress.

As a result, Srinivas Reddy joined the Congress earlier this month during a gathering in Khammam town that party leader Rahul Gandhi attended.

Having gained momentum from its success in neighboring Karnataka, Congress is expecting to unseat the BJP and the BRS in the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections in Telangana.
