Rahul engages with farmers in Sonepat, Haryana

In an unexpected action, Rahul Gandhi engaged with farmers in Sonepat, Haryana, on Saturday and helped them establish rice paddies in the fields.

Imran Pratapgarhi, a member of the Congress’ Rajya Sabha, told IANS that Rahul Gandhi abruptly chose to see the farmers in Sonepat while on route to Shimla. He got out of his car, went to the farmlands, and tried his hand at driving a tractor and cultivating rice paddies.

Rahul Gandhi keeps in touch with the people even after finishing his Bharat Jodo Yatra, according to Pratapgarhi.

Party officials claim that he also inquired about the difficulties the farmers are having and their income.

The Congress leader has already astounded the populace with his sporadic appearances in public. He went to the national capital’s Jama Masjid and Bengali Market in March. Later, he visited the Mukherjee Nagar neighbourhood and spoke with UPSC candidates there.

Gandhi also visited the PG men’s hostel at Delhi University over lunch. He then travelled to Murthal in Haryana and from there, he boarded a truck to Ambala.

He recently visited the Nike market in Delhi’s Karol Bagh neighbourhood and spoke with the bike mechanics there.

Gandhi had already been to the US and had taken a truck from New York to Washington, D.C.

He had met with the delivery partners and gone on a scooter ride with them when in Karnataka for the Assembly elections.

After travelling 4,000 km from Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, to Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, Rahul Gandhi has finished his Bharat Jodo Yatra.

He has been talking to people since his yatra ended on January 30.
