Rahul Gandhi: “I Have Truth, RSS Has Power”

In a video filmed during his recent visit to the Golden Temple, Rahul Gandhi said, “The RSS has force… I have the truth.” He also claims that force is always a falsehood.

Gandhi posted a video to his YouTube page on Monday showing his visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar. He also discusses the lessons he took away from the experience in the video.

According to me, power is always the truth and force is always a falsehood. The US is referred to be a superpower, for instance. It is a super force rather than a superpower. Superpowers like Mahatma Gandhi and Guru Nanak both agree that force is always damaging since it is always used with rage, hate, and terror,” Gandhi states in the video.

“I’ve only just begun my adventure. In the video, the former head of the Congress says, “It’s not that I’ve gotten anywhere, but if I’m working in the area of power, and I have to, I don’t have force compared to the RSS — they have force, the Indian government, institutions, the CBI, the ED, they have everything — so the only thing that I have, and I cannot tell you how beautiful it is, is I have the truth.”

“No matter what they do and they can keep going, their force does nothing to the truth,” he asserts.

The Congress leader said that’s what he wants young Indians to realize.

“A guru is who? In a post that included the video, he said, “A guru is the one who guides you from the darkness of untruth to the light of the truth.”

“I had the honor of working at Sri Harmandir Sahib recently. The services provided by gurdwaras educate us that the three main goals of life are’sarbat da bhala,’ public duty, and respect for mankind. In his Hindi post, Gandhi said, “And every individual who inspires you to follow this path and shows you the way forward has the status of a true guru.”

The film shows the Congress leader on his spiritual trek to the Golden Temple, where he engages in “seva” tasks like tidying devotees’ shoes and washing utensils.

Gandhi visited the Golden Temple for two days earlier this month, doing “seva” (volunteer work) like as serving meals to devotees, cleaning dishes, and peeling vegetables in the “langar” (community kitchen).

The departing devotees were given chapattis by the previous head of the Congress. Additionally, he consumed “langar” and spent about sixty minutes in the temple’s communal kitchen.

Gandhi also performed “seva” at the “shoe house” or “Jaura ghar”. Then he entered the sanctum sanctorum and offered his respects.

Gandhi had done “seva” on the first day of his visit, cleaned the bowls of the devotees and providing them with water.

Additionally, he had participated in the customary “palki seva” ceremony, which is the last one in which the Guru Granth Sahib is brought for “Sukhasan” to the Akal Takht, and listened to the “Shabad Kirtan” (religious songs).
