Rahul Gandhi unites Left and Right with his “no-flag” Wayanad rally

After attacking Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday at the MP’s road show in Wayanad over the “missing” Congress party and its partner Indian Union Muslim League flags, the Left and the Right found themselves in agreement on Thursday.

Rahul came under fire from BJP celebrity activist Smriti Irani and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for allegedly “hiding” Congress and IUML flags.

The Congress is now afraid of communal forces because of how far it has fallen. Its lack of IUML or national flags at Rahul Gandhi’s rally was a sign of their fear of the BJP. “They desire the support of the IUML but lack the bravery to openly fly either the IUML or their own flags,” said Vijayan, the head of the Kerala LDF administration and a critic of Rahul for opposing CPI ally Annie Raja in Wayanad instead of choosing to “fight the BJP elsewhere.”

In addition to questioning Rahul for “failing to display IUML flags,” Irani, who was in Wayanad on Thursday to accompany K Surendran, the BJP candidate from the area, for the filing of nomination papers, also

Irani questioned Rahul’s motivation for seeking their support if he was scared to display IUML flags. She advised him not to accept IUML sponsorship.

Irani made fun of Rahul Gandhi, whom she beat in Amethi in 2019 with more over 50,000 votes, saying, “He used to call Amethi his family and then he abandoned it.” He referred to Wayanad as his family yesterday. Who modifies families? Who flees their family? Irani was questioned.

“How can Wayanad pick Rahul as its MP when the so-called INDIA bloc cannot pick him as their PM face?” she said.
