Rahul Gandhi: Without EVM, Narendra Modi cannot win

Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, claiming that he cannot win the polls without “EVMs, ED, CBI and Income Tax.” He said that by manipulating the EVMs, the BJP was winning elections.

The former head of the Congress gave a speech at a gathering that marked the end of his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park. Leaders of the INDIA bloc, including Sharad Pawar (NCP), Jharkhand CM Champai Soren and Kalpana Soren (JMM), Tejashwi Yadav (RJD), Mehbooba Mufti (PDP) and Farooq Abdullah (NC), former chief ministers of J&K, Dipankar Bhattacharya (CPI-ML), and Saurabh Bhardwaj (AAP), were present at the rally.

“We had asked the EC to count the VVPAT as well,” he said. However, our request was turned down. Rahul said that “instances of massive extortion by the Modi-led government to fill BJP coffers” were revealed by the revelations being made in relation to the electoral bond plan.

He claimed to have a “monopoly over corruption” with PM Modi. He questioned, “Do you think the Shiv Sena and NCP split and joined the ruling alliance just like that?” citing a top Maharashtra Congress man who had left the party and admitted to his mother, Sonia Gandhi, that he was leaving out of fear of going to prison.

Rahul said that the Agniveer plan was opposed by everyone in the nation. “I’ve been to several locations with the yatra. Regarding the Agniveer program, which has been introduced to take advantage of the young of the nation, I have heard the same thing everywhere,” he remarked. In order to draw attention to “rising unemployment, inflation, and hatred in society,” he said he was forced to start his yatras.

The PM was also criticized by party president Mallikarjun Kharge for “not being true to his vow against corruption.” Thieves take little amounts of money. However, the election bonds in question were worth hundreds of crores. Thus, Modi is not a pickpocket, according to Kharge.

He asserted that despite Modi’s declaration that he “would neither partake in bribery nor allow anybody do so”),” in practice he was extorting money from large corporations. He also said that the Prime Minister was determined to alter the late BR Ambedkar’s Constitution. In order to defeat the BJP in the next Lok Sabha elections, he urged the populace to cast massive numbers of votes for INDIA candidates.

Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party, informed Rahul in a letter that he was unable to attend the event due to his busy schedule for the Lok Sabha elections.
