Rahul will give two lectures at Cambridge University; from February 26 to March 1, Nyay Yatra will be on break

The Congress said on Wednesday that Rahul Gandhi would be able to attend significant meetings in New Delhi and give two special lectures at his alma mater, Cambridge University, by taking a break from the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from February 26 to March 1.

Jairam Ramesh, the general secretary in charge of media for the Congress, said that the yatra would have two days off on February 22 and 23 after its Kanpur leg on Wednesday.

According to Ramesh, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will start out again early on February 24 in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, and go through the districts of Sambhal, Aligarh, Hathras, and Agra before ending in Dholpur, Rajasthan.

“To enable Rahul Gandhi to fulfill his long-standing commitment to deliver two special lectures at his alma mater Cambridge University (UK) on February 27 and February 28 and also to enable him to attend other important meetings in New Delhi, Ramesh announced in a post on X that February 26 through March 1st will be break days.”

On March 2, at 2:00 pm, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra would recommence from Dholpur, he said. Next, the Congress leader said, it would include other Madhya Pradesh districts, including Morena, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Shajapur, and Ujjain.

Additionally, Ramesh told me that Gandhi would get a “darshan” in the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain on March 5 at 2:00 p.m. The last time the previous head of Congress received this blessing was on November 29, 2022, during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

The Manipur-Mumbai yatra, which began entering Uttar Pradesh last Friday, is planned to travel 6,700 kilometers across 15 states on its east-west route. It seeks to meet regular people along the journey and emphasize the notion of “nyay” (justice).
