Rahul’s desperate attempt to rescue the Constitution

At a joint election rally in Jhansi, former Congress head Rahul Gandhi and SP president Akhilesh Yadav once again urged Uttar Pradesh voters to support INDIA bloc candidates in order to preserve the nation’s democracy and Constitution.

“The purpose of this election is to preserve the Constitution; without it, India’s impoverished people would have nowhere to live.” Your public sector, reserve rights, and land rights will all go the day this Constitution expires. “I am standing with the INDIA bloc, Akhilesh Yadav, Kharge, and myself to defend this Constitution,” Rahul said at the gathering endorsing Pradeep Jain Aditya, the Congress candidate.

Gandhi said, “We will do a revolutionary work that no other government in the world has done,” promising to bring about a revolutionary shift in the everyday lives of the average person. We will create millions upon millions of millionaires, just as the BJP has created 22 billionaires. Every household will have a lady chosen, and each year, Rs 1 lakh will be deposited into the bank accounts of millions of women.

Yadav stressed in his speech the need for a different leadership while highlighting the BJP’s “dwindling” fortunes. “After the conclusion of the four election rounds, the BJP’s graph is declining. He said, “The people of Jhansi are getting ready for the BJP’s vidai ki jhanki.”

Yadav reiterated Gandhi’s remarks, saying that the poll was showing the BJP’s diminishing popularity. As he considered earlier joint ventures between the Congress and SP, Yadav commended Congress projects like the founding of Sainik Schools in Uttar Pradesh. “The Sainik School comes to mind every time I visit Jhansi.” He said that Uttar Pradesh now has three military schools thanks to the Congress party.

The gathering is an important attempt to challenge the BJP’s hegemony in the area and is intended to increase support for Aditya, who previously won the Jhansi Lok Sabha seat in 2009. The BSP’s Ravi Prakash Kushwaha and other newcomers have changed the electoral environment in Jhansi, making the race more intensely triangular and raising the stakes for all contenders.
