Released at csab.nic.in is the CSAB Special Round Counseling Schedule for JEE Main 2023 Qualified Candidates

The timetable for the CSAB 2023 special round has been released by the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). The CSAB counseling process will start on July 30 according to the update. Candidates who have qualified for the CSAB 2023 special round via the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 may register on the CSAB’s official website, csab.nic.in. The Indian Institute of Engineering, Science, and Technology (IIEST), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) are conducting the special counseling round to fill the open seats.

Candidates may make an online request for reinstating the category by July 31. Any requests for category restoration must receive a response from the applicants by August 31.

On August 3, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will announce the open positions after the counseling procedure. The registration, payment, and choice-filling procedures for the CSAB special round 1 will start on the same day. On August 7, the process will be finished.

Candidates have till August 8 to complete their pick of top institutions. On August 8, the outcomes of the special round 1 seat distribution for CSAB 2023 will be made public. It will be allowed to choose a seat or end the process from August 8 to August 11.During this period, the applicants must also log in online and submit all required paperwork for the review process. In the event that there are any open seats, the special round 2 procedure for CSAB 2023 will start on August 13.

Candidates have three options for expressing willingness in the CSAB special round-I: they may either freeze, float, or slide their seats. They may also give up their assigned seat and participate in CSAB special round II, or they may withdraw their assigned seat and skip the special round. A student may also leave their seat.

Then, after paying the entrance fee, uploading their papers, and answering any queries the document verification officer may have, students who wish to freeze their seats will report to the universities online. After the special rounds of counseling are finished, the CSAB’s supernumerary round will begin.

Candidates may apply for admission to supernumerary seats at a few NITs (NIT Durgapur, SVNIT Surat, and NIT Calicut) if they are residents of the Union Territories of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. These applicants will be counseled at the CSAB Supernumerary round.
