Rohtak: According to Arvind Sharma, the impoverished were only a vote bank for the Congress

Attacking the Congress, BJP contender and sitting MP Dr. Arvind Sharma said that its leaders were lying on every topic because they intended to win the Lok Sabha elections by frightening and deceiving people.

Sharma spoke yesterday at polling places in the Jhajjar district’s many villages. He said that despite doing nothing more than seizing their votes under the pretext of eradicating poverty, the Congress has always treated the poor as a voting bloc.

“Public concerns are unrelated to the state’s congressional leaders. While the BJP leaders continue to serve the people and try to find solutions to their issues, they are still preoccupied with pleasing their top leaders and sitting in Delhi with the goal of gaining influence inside the party,” he said.

Sharma accused the Congress of separating people along religious lines and warned that the BJP would not allow the party to implement reservations for members of a certain faith after stealing this benefit from current recipients. He urged people to vote against Congress’s nominee in order to prevent it from happening.

Sharma listed the actions the BJP administration has taken to improve the lives of farmers. He said that Rs 3 lakh crore had been disbursed under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi and that farmers had received compensation totaling Rs 12,000 crore for crop losses during the previous ten years.

He remarked that in order to guarantee women’s representation in LS and state assemblies, the BJP has instituted reservations for them. In order to fulfill its pledge to treble farmers’ incomes, the BJP administration was buying 14 crops at the minimum support price.

The railway budget has grown from Rs 30,000 crore in 2014 to Rs 2.5 lakh crore now. “I’ll make an effort to link the Beri Assembly section to the rail network,” he said.
