Six Family Members Died in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, in a Road Accident

In the Sawai Madhopur area of Rajasthan, a truck struck a family’s automobile on Sunday, killing six of them and injuring two more, according to authorities. The incident happened close to the Banas River Bridge on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

According to authorities, the family was on route to do prayers at a Ganesh temple located in Sawai Madhopur.

RLP leader Hanuman Beniwal, deputy chief minister Diya Kumari, and chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma have all expressed their sorrow over the event.

Two children were hurt and six family members perished instantly. They are supposedly stable and have been sent to Jaipur, according to Additional SP Dinesh Kumar.

A family from Khandela in the Sikar district, he added, was on route to Sawai Madhopur’s Ganesh Temple to offer prayers.

Preliminary reports state that a canter truck making a U-turn on the highway caused the accident.

Teams have been sent to locate the accused after the canter truck driver was recognized from CCTV video, according to the ASP.

According to the authorities, the individuals who perished in the accident were Manish Sharma and his spouse Anita, Kailash Sharma and his spouse Santosh, and Satish Sharma and his spouse Poonam.

The youngsters who were hurt, Manan and Deepali, have been admitted to the hospital, they added.

The autopsy on the corpses has been sent, and it will take place after family members get there.

Both Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma have expressed their sorrow over the event.

“It is very sad to hear that six people have died in a horrific road accident in the Baunli police station area of Sawai Madhopur district on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway,” Sharma said on X.

He stated that responsible authorities have been directed to assist the impacted parties as much as possible.
