“The Hon’ble Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Dr. Tamilsai Soundararajan, has tendered her resignation with immediate effect,” the Telangana Raj Bhavan stated in a statement. The Honorable President of India has received the resignation.”

According to the sources, Soundararajan would probably be included on the BJP’s third list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, which is anticipated to happen shortly, according to India Today TV.

According to the reports, she may run for office in Chennai South, Puducherry, or North Tamil Nadu.

In the recent past, Soundararajan has criticized the Tamil Nadu DMK administration.

She attacked the DMK in December 2023 for the devastating floods in Tamil Nadu, claiming that the state administration “should have taken proper precautionary measures” but was unable to handle the crisis.

“When the people are reeling under the effects of the flood, the Chief Minister is holding a program with the people,” she said.

The DMK’s position on Sanatana Dharma has also drawn criticism from Soundararajan, who said that the party did not comprehend the idea.

She made the following comment in November of last year: “They don’t want to adopt Sanatana because they don’t know what it is. They commemorate Ravana. The divide is based on labor. There has been much discussion about it. While Sanatana is a way of life and an enduring ideology, to them it solely refers to the caste system.”
