Terms Priyanka Chaturvedi Women Sick, Eknath Shinde Led Party MLA Said

A Shiv Sena MLA has been under fire for his sexist comments directed towards Uddhav Thackeray-led party member Priyanka Chaturvedi, a Rajya Sabha member.

Sanjay Shirsat, an MLA for the Eknath Shinde-led party, asserts that Chaturvedi was appointed to the Rajya Sabha by Aaditya Thackeray because of her attractiveness.

Former Uddhav Thackeray group MP Chandrakant Khaire, according to Shirsat, told him this.

Shirsat was denounced by Chaturvedi as a traitor who had sold his soul and integrity, according to PTI.

She wrote, “I don’t need a traitor to tell me what I look like and why I’m here. She said, “Shirsat has shown his sick views on politics and women.”

According to Aaditya Thackeray, Shirsat has a rotten mentality and is aware of his value. He said, “I don’t know how individuals with such a nasty worldview have managed to stay in politics.

Priyanka Chaturvedi left the Congress in 2019 where she was a national spokeswoman before joining the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena.

Prior to this, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi wrote to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), requesting information on the inquiry the SEBI is carrying out against various Adani group firms.

In a letter dated April 18 that was shared on Twitter on Thursday, Chaturvedi said that the SEBI had opened an investigation against a few Adani group firms in 2021.

However, it claimed that neither a closure report nor an explanation for the delay had been provided by the regulator.

“The general public must be informed about the investigation’s specifics and the causes of the delay in its conclusion. According to Chaturvedi’s letter, the regulator must also investigate into claims that connected firms have been manipulating stock prices.

The Rajya Sabha member continued by saying that this would enhance transparency and investor trust.

US short-seller Hindenburg Research has made accusations of stock manipulation and fraud against the Adani group. The charges, which sparked a political uproar and reduced the tycoon’s personal worth, have been refuted by the organisation.
