The reservation problem will be resolved logically: Devegowda HD

JDS Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda mocked the state cabinet’s decision to recommend the classification of the scheduled caste [SC] quota to the Center for Amendment of Article 341[3] of the Indian constitution as well as the leaders’ pledge to protect the interests of the SC category, saying on Friday that he had made the decision to pursue the reservation issue to its logical conclusion.
Speaking at this news conference, Deve Gowda expressed his desire for the reserve issue to be discussed in public across the state. Before falling under any reserve categories, people should be aware of which groups are benefiting from reservations and which are not.
In addition, he said that he was prepared to discuss the party’s and its leaders’ attempts to provide reservations for various state categories with any leader.
after the late LG Havanoor’s formula, Deve Gowda only chose to change the proportion of quota for SC, ST, and Minorities when serving as chief minister. He made this announcement while speaking to the party workers after the Parliament elections.
Former Prime Minister HD Devegowda organized a committee by the central government to categorize Scheduled Castes
Gowda, who took a hard stance against Congress leaders who spoke about social justice and blamed him and his party for major problems, said that the reservation would be the main topic of discussion during the parliamentary elections. It is also said that the leaders of Congress concealed the crucial choices made over state reservations throughout his tenure in various roles.
Gowda also remembered what happened when the private reservation bill was brought up in the parliament and the reactions of prominent members of the Congress, such as Mallikarjuna Kharge, Siddaramaih, and Veerappa Moily. In order to investigate the reservations, he also established a committee. Ultimately, he decided to raise the number of SC reservations from 15% to 18%.
Gowda also voiced his displeasure with Hassan district charge minister KN Rajanna for allegedly disparaging him in the course of the 2024 parliamentary elections.
According to Gowda, his last wish was to host the gigantic Kumbabhisheka and Kumbamela at the Ranganatha hill temple in Mavinakere, which is located in his home region of Holenarasipur. In response to a query, the patriarch of the JDS said that he would be traveling to Ayodhya on January 22 together with his wife Channamma, son HD Kumaraswamy, daughter-in-law, and grandson Nikhil.
