The youngest paraglider in the nation is an 11-year-old Mizo kid

After doing a solo flight at Bir Billing, an 11-year-old kid from Mizoram became the youngest paraglider in the nation.

After making a safe touchdown at Chogan, the landing location, yesterday after taking off from the well-known paragliding spot, Samuel wrote the history.

Samuel’s accomplishment is made even more noteworthy by the fact that no one in his family has ever parachuted. He is now receiving instruction in paragliding from the Bir-Billing Paragliding Association in the Kangra Valley.

Samuel’s trip, which broke records, lasted more than 20

minutes. The first person to greet him at the landing location was his mother.

Upon exiting the paraglider, Samuel was greeted by several locals, including international and Indian pilots.

Anurag Sharma, the president of the Bir-Billing Paragliding Association, claimed in a statement to the Billing media that Samuel was the youngest pilot in Bir Billing history to take off and fly for 20 minutes over the Dhauladhar highlands.

“Credit goes to our skilled pilots who were teaching paragliding to this child. This event added a new chapter in paragliding,” he said.
