Today, Congress organizes a gathering of its Lok Sabha Members

On Tuesday, the Congress party scheduled a meeting for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the party’s parliamentary office.

Additionally, the Congress has issued a three-line whip requiring its Lok Sabha MPs to appear in the House of Representatives today. It is significant that the opposition parties have chosen to bring a motion of no confidence in the BJP-led national government in the Lok Sabha today.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, the leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha, informed ANI on Tuesday that opposition parties will introduce a no-confidence resolution against the government the next day.

“Today, it was determined that the only option left to us would be to file a resolution of no confidence since the administration is refusing to accede to the opposition’s demand for a thorough discussion over Manipur with the Prime Minister. As our leader in the parliament, he should comment on the violence in Manipur, he remarked.

Due to opposition demands for a thorough examination of the circumstances in Manipur and a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been adjourned.
The opposition parties are pushing for Manipur debate under a norm that also includes voting, despite the government’s claims that it is prepared for discussion.
