Today in Srinagar, Prime Minister Modi took part in “Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu Kashmir.”

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present development projects valued at over Rs 6,400 crore and speak at a public gathering in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.

He is going to take part in the “Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu Kashmir” initiative and commit to the country a plan of around Rs 5000 crore that would enhance the agri-economy in Jammu and Kashmir.
After Article 370 was repealed, this is the prime minister’s first trip to Kashmir.

The rally’s location, Bakshi Stadium, has strict security measures in place in advance of the visit.
According to Rule 24(2) of the Drone Rules, 2021, Srinagar city has been designated as a “Temporary Red Zone” for the operation of drones and quadcopters, effective immediately.

The Srinagar Police have said that any unapproved drone activities in the Red Zone might result in penalties under the applicable Drone Rules, 2021.
According to a release from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister will dedicate the Rs 5,000 crore “Holistic Agriculture Development Programme” to strengthen the agri-economy in the Union territory at the “Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu Kashmir” event at Bakshi Stadium.

In Jammu and Kashmir, the HADP is an integrated program that covers the whole range of operations in the three primary agri-economy domains: livestock husbandry, agriculture, and horticulture. Through a special Daksh Kisan site, the initiative is anticipated to provide skill development to around 2.5 lakh farmers. For the sake of the agricultural community, the initiative will build around 2000 Kisan Khidmat Ghars and put strong value chains in place. The initiative would help thousands of marginalized households in Jammu and Kashmir by creating jobs.

Along with dedicating himself to the country, he will initiate several tourism-related projects worth over Rs 1400 crore under the PRASHAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive) and Swadesh Darshan schemes. One such project is the “Integrated Development of Hazratbal Shrine” in Srinagar.

The “Chalo India Global Diaspora Campaign” and the “Dekho Apna Desh People’s Choice Tourist Destination Poll” will also be introduced by the prime minister. Additionally, he will reveal the tourism spots chosen under the Challenge Based Destination Development (CBDD) Program. Additionally, the Prime Minister will meet with recipients of several government programs, such as women achievers, lakhpati didis, farmers, entrepreneurs, and others, and will give appointment orders to around a thousand newly recruited government employees from Jammu and Kashmir.
With the aim of enhancing the overall experience of travelers and pilgrims at popular pilgrimage and tourism destinations across the country by constructing top-notch facilities and infrastructure, the Prime Minister will commit to the country and introduce several projects under the Swadesh Darshan and PRASHAD schemes, which have a combined value of over Rs 1400 crore.

The development of the “Integrated Development of Hazratbal Shrine” in Srinagar; the creation of tourism facilities in Meghalaya’s Northeast circuit; the Spiritual Circuit in Bihar and Rajasthan; the Rural and Tirthankar Circuit in Bihar; the development of Jogulamba Devi Temple in Jogulamba Gadwal District, Telangana; and the development of Amarkantak Temple in Annupur District, Madhya Pradesh are among the projects that the Prime Minister will dedicate to the country.

The “Integrated Development of Hazratbal Shrine” project has been carried out to improve the pilgrims’ and visitors’ whole spiritual experience by providing them with top-notch facilities and amenities.
The project’s main components are the site development of the entire area, which includes building the shrine’s boundary wall and illumination of the Hazratbal shrine precinct, improving the ghats and devri paths surrounding the shrine, building a center for Sufi interpretation, building a center for tourist facilitation, installing signage, building a multilevel parking structure, building a public convenience block, and building the shrine’s entrance gateway, among other things.

In addition, PM Modi will introduce around forty-three initiatives that would expand the nation’s tourism and pilgrimage offerings. Key religious locations include the Annavaram Temple in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh; the Navagraha Temples in Thanjavur, Mayiladuthurai, and Karaikal districts of Tamilnadu and Puducherry; the Sri Chamundeshwari Devi Temple in Mysore, Karnataka; the Karni Mata Mandir in Bikaner, Rajasthan; the Maa Chintpurni Temple in Una, Himachal Pradesh; and the Basilica of Bom Jesus Church in Goa, among other notables.

Mechuka Adventure Park in Arunachal Pradesh; Rural Tourism Cluster Experience at Gunji, Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand; Ecotourism Zone at Ananthagiri Forest, Ananathagiri, Telangana; Meghalayan Age Cave Experience and Waterfall Trails Experience at Sohra, Meghalaya; Reimagining Cinnamara Tea Estate, Jorhat, Assam; Ecotourism Experience at Kanjli Wetland, Kapurthala, Punjab; Julley Leh Biodiversity Park, Leh, et cetera, are some of the other sites and experience centers that are being developed as part of these projects.

The Prime Minister will reveal 42 tourism locations chosen via the Challenge Based Destination Development (CBDD) Scheme during the event. The creative plan, unveiled during the Union Budget 2023–24, is to provide end-to-end travel experiences by spurring the growth of tourism hotspots and fostering sustainability and competitiveness in the travel industry. The 42 locations have been divided into four groups: 16 under the heading “Culture & Heritage Destination,” 11 under the heading “Spiritual Destinations,” 10 under the heading “Ecotourism and Amrit Dharohar,” and 5 under the heading “Vibrant Village.”

The prime minister will introduce “Dekho Apna Desh People’s Choice 2024,” the first-ever national program to determine the nation’s tourist pulse. The purpose of the national survey is to interact with the public in order to determine the most popular tourist destinations and to get insight into how visitors see five different types of tourism: spiritual, cultural & heritage, nature & wildlife, adventure, and another category. In addition to the four major categories, there is a “other” category where voters may cast their votes for their own favorites and contribute to the discovery of undiscovered tourist sites and attractions such as vibrant border villages, wellness travel, wedding travel, etc. The MyGov platform, the Indian government’s tool for public involvement, is hosting this poll.

The “Chalo India Global Diaspora Campaign” will be introduced by the prime minister with the goal of encouraging Indians living abroad to serve as Incredible India ambassadors and boosting travel to India. The Prime Minister’s clarion appeal, which asked Indian diaspora members to persuade at least five of their non-Indian friends to visit India, served as the inspiration for the campaign’s debut. With over 3 crore Indians living abroad, the Indian diaspora may function as cultural ambassadors and act as a potent catalyst for Indian tourism.
