Two Groups Fight During the Ram Temple Rally on Mumbai’s Mira Road, Arresting 13

Thane (Maharashtra): In relation to a fight that broke out between two communities at Mira Road near Mumbai earlier last night ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, thirteen people have been arrested and additional suspects are being identified at the request of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The Deputy Chief Minister posted on social media, stating, “Last night was the only time that the occurrence in the Nayanagar region of Mira-Bhyander was fully documented. Up until 3:30 a.m. on Monday, I had continuous communication with the Mira-Bhyander Police Commissioner. The accused has been given stringent instructions by the police to follow. In this instance, 13 accused have been taken into custody so far, and the CCTV material is being analyzed to find the remaining accused. We will not put up with anybody attempting to undermine Maharashtra’s law and order.”

“The conflict between the two communities broke out at around 11 pm on Sunday when some people of the Hindu community were raising slogans in three or four vehicles in the Naya Nagar area of Mira Road adjacent to Mumbai,” said Jayant Bajbale, Deputy Commissioner of Police.

“A dispute between certain members of the Muslim community and the Hindu community erupted shortly after. When the police car arrived on the scene, it saw that things were becoming worse and quickly took several persons into custody “, he claimed.
