Vishnu Deo Sai, the CM-elect of Chhattisgarh, prays at a temple: Watch

In preparation for his later-in-the-day swearing-in ceremony, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister-designate Vishnu Deo Sai offered prayers at the Jagannath temple here on Wednesday.

According to authorities, he also decorated the sculptures of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and liberation warrior Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh in various locations around the state capital Raipur.

According to a statement released by the state public relations department, Sai (59) carried out traditional rites at the Jagannath temple in the morning and prayed for peace, development, and prosperity in Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Ministers of Assam, Uttar Pradesh, and other states will be in attendance, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari, and Chief Ministers of other states.

Nadda and Shah have traveled to Raipur to participate in the function.

During a Sunday meeting of the newly elected 54 MLAs at the party’s state headquarters in this city, Sai was chosen as the leader of the BJP’s legislative party.

In the latest state elections, the BJP reduced the number of Assembly seats controlled by the Congress to 35 by winning 54 of the 90 available seats. One seat was won by the Gantantra Party of Gondwana.
