Voter education will be promoted by the Election Commission during the Mohali IPL match

At Maharaja Yadwindra Singh Stadium in Mullanpur on Saturday, during the first IPL match, the government will conduct a voter awareness campaign.

According to district electoral officer Aashika Jain, the government has organized a grand event to encourage young people to vote in the Lok Sabha election by emphasizing the value of exercising their right to vote.

The deputy commissioner said, “Around 500 college students will attend the IPL match in the branded attire of ‘I Vote For Sure.'” Additionally, the folk orchestra band from Punjabi University Patiala will sing a traditional song called “Mai Bharat Hu.”

In the next Mohali election, she said, “We aim to attain 80% voter participation, even though the EC has set a benchmark of ‘Iss Vaar 70 Par.'”
