Want To End Poverty And Joblessness In J-K: Azad

Ghulam Nabi Azad, the leader of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), said on Sunday that if his party were to take power in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, he would try to end unemployment and poverty there.

Azad remarked that although he cannot guarantee employment for every educated individuals, he would offer chances for them to make a living. “Unemployment and poverty have risen. I want to alter it. At a public event in the Dooru neighborhood of the Anantnag district, the former chief minister said, “I also want to propose the legislation that would give land back to landless people.

There are three different categories of jobless people: educated, skilled, and unskilled. They are all hunting for employment. We’ll develop possibilities for employment. I’m not offering employment to everyone with a degree since it would leave no money for projects like development, healthcare, and social welfare, he said.

Azad said that between 2005 and 2008, while serving as chief minister of J-K, he created a tulip garden that is now frequented by tens of thousands of visitors. “I have a lot more plans that will provide each area three to four new tourism attractions. These plans were ready in 2008, and I had planned to reveal them then, but I was unable to. I still have those plans, and I’ll carry them out. The unemployment rate in Jammu and Kashmir would go down as a result, he said.

Azad said that as the leader of the government, he had implemented the triple shift system of labor.”Work would continue around-the-clock, and both skilled and unskilled workers would have employment all year round. It also aided in the completion of the building projects more quickly, he said, adding that the practice was discontinued the day he left his position as chief minister.
