Which Bills Will Be Introduced Today In Parliament During the Monsoon Session?

Anurag Thakur, Amit Shah, Bhupender Yadav, and other Union Ministers will propose a number of proposals in Parliament today. The opposition parties’ rallies last week seeking a response from the Indian Prime Minister over the violence in Manipur caused tension during the Monsoon Session of Parliament.

What legislation will be presented to Parliament today?

Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, will introduce the Press and Registration of Periodicals Bill, 2023 in the Rajya Sabha today. This measure will provide rules for the media, register magazines, and address other related issues.

 

2. Mediation Bill, 2021 – Union Minister of Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal will introduce the Mediation Bill, 2021 in the Rajya Sabha today. In order to resolve conflicts, especially those involving commerce, the proposed Act seeks to encourage and facilitate institutional mediation. Additionally, it aims to make internet mediation a more approachable and affordable procedure, create a mediator registration organization, promote community mediation, and enforce mediated settlement agreements.

 

3. The 2023 Biological Diversity (Amendment) Bill – Bhupender Yadav, the Union Minister for the Environment, Forests, and Climate Change, will introduce the Biological Diversity (Amendment) Bill, 2023 in the Rajya Sabha today to further revise the Biological Diversity Act, 2002. The Lok Sabha already approved the Bill.

 

Bill 2023 to amend the cinematograph act The Cinematograph (Amendment) Bill, 2023, which was previously approved by the Rajya Sabha, seeks to modify the Cinematograph Act, 1952. Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, will introduce the legislation in the Lok Sabha.

 

5. Amendment to Births and Deaths Birth and Death Registration Amendment Act of 2023 Union Home Minister Amit Shah will introduce Bill, 2023 in the Lok Sabha today for discussion and adoption. The Registration of Births and Deaths Act of 1969 is intended to be modified by this bill.

 

6. National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will present the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023 in the Lok Sabha today. The bill’s goal is to strip the Delhi government of its bureaucratic rights and give the state’s lieutenant governor broad authority.

 

7. Advocates (Amendment) Bill, 2023 – Arjun Ram Meghwal, the Union Law Minister, is scheduled to bring the Advocates (Amendment) Bill, 2023 in the Rajya Sabha today in order to alter the Advocates Act of 1961.
