Man dies after being struck by a crane in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: At the Vikas Nagar light point, a guy lost his life after being struck by a crane. Sonu Kumar, a Mauli Jagran resident who filed the complaint, said that his uncle Rajinder Kumar was struck by a crane. He was sent to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), located in Sector 32, where upon arrival, the medical staff pronounced him dead. The crane operator abandoned the car and hurried off. At the Mauli Jagran police station, the police have opened a case and begun an investigation.

license for bottling factory revoked

Chandigarh: Today, Cooperative Company Limited’s excise license was revoked by Excise and Taxation Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh due to abnormalities discovered in stock during inspections. In the last year, six of these licenses have been revoked.

An MC employee is detained for car theft

Chandigarh: A Municipal Corporation contract worker was detained on suspicion of car theft. Mohit Gusain (27), of Sector 29, was apprehended by an Operation Cell squad, who also found a stolen scooter close to Kalagram. At Makhan Majra, the accused was employed as a tubewell operator. Gusain has previously been charged with molestation and home theft.

Chandigarh: A lady from EWS colony, Dhanas, had her cell phone stolen by three miscreants riding motorcycles. The latter said that her phone was stolen by the suspects close to the local stone market. Following notification of the police, a case was opened at the Sarangpur police station. TNS

7 detained for looting and damaging vehicles

Chandigarh: Following a fight between two groups in New Indra Colony, Mani Majra, the police have detained seven people on suspicion of rioting. Ashok Kumar, Ramesh, Banwari, Sanjeev Kumar, Shiven, Gurmeet, and Nishu—all colony residents—were taken into custody on April 5 after they vandalized automobiles in the vicinity, according to the police. Chitkara pupils excel in virtual sports

Chandigarh: At the Sage University, Bhopal, All-India Inter-University e-Sports Championship, Chitkara University students took home a hefty haul of medals. The men’s and women’s teams from the institution won the gold medal in the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) competition. The women’s team won silver in the valiant tour. Chandigarh: In honor of World Health Day, Rishabh, who is 18 to 29 years old, won the Chandigarh Half Marathon. In other age categories, the winners were Gurdeep Singh, Inderjit Singh, Harjit Singh, Jaskaran Singh, and Gurphool Singh. Pariksha Tiwari, Bhuvaneshwari, Swati Mittal, and Paramjeet Kaur were the female winners. Heroin-wielding peddler

Fatehgarh Sahib: Harjinder Singh of Kot Dharma Chand Kalan, Tarn Taran district, was taken into custody by CIA personnel of the Sirhind police after they found 100 grams of heroin on him. The CIA Staff Chief, Amarbir Singh, said that when they stopped Harjinder, a police party, SI Amarjit Singh, and ASI Rupinder Singh were there close to Anaj Mandi. From him, the cops seized 100 grams of heroin. He acknowledged that he has supplied heroin to rural regions in the past. OC
