Yamunanagar SP orders personnel to step up their watchfulness

Ahead of the upcoming elections, Yamunanagar SP Ganga Ram Punia has instructed all DSPs, SHOs, and post incharges to monitor anti-social groups.

In an encounter with law enforcement representatives at the Mini-Secretariat on Saturday, he said that efficient night and evening patrols are necessary to deter theft. Following an analysis of the criminal actions that occurred across the area last month, the SP gave the officers instructions to take action against individuals engaged in the illicit liquor industry.

Additionally, he instructed all SHOs and post incharges of police to monitor the areas around schools and colleges in their jurisdictions and to keep a lookout for naughty people.

In order to prevent traffic bottlenecks across the district, particularly in the twin towns of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri, he directed the traffic police SHO to pay close attention to traffic management.

The SP said, “Those who use cell phones while driving, burst crackers from motorcycles, and are found violating other traffic rules should face strict and effective action.”

He announced the commencement of the “safe city campaign” by Haryana Police, which mandates that district police protect women’s safety in addition to that of the public.

“Every complaint received in the police station should be duly registered, a receipt should be given to the complainant, and immediate action should be taken on it,” he urged, pleading with the officers to handle concerns promptly.
