YSRC and Oppn Disagree Regarding the AP Law and Order Situation and a Letter from a Kapu Leader to Pawan Kalyan

With the major opposition party TDP targeting the government YSR Congress over the murder of a young child and a key Kapu leader writing a stern letter to Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan about the latter’s devotion to the community, the political climate in Andhra Pradesh is becoming more tense.

In order to keep up the political pace, the Jagan Mohan Reddy administration on June 23 initiated “Jagananna Suraksha,” a month-long campaign to contact every 1.6 crore families in the state in order to ascertain and address any unsolved issues.

‘Jagananna Suraksha’ is a 10-day initiative that will include volunteers and staff from all 15,004 village and ward secretariats visiting all 5.3 crore residents of the state to find out who are still eligible recipients.

Following an incident in which a 15-year-old kid was reportedly discovered burned to death in Cherukupalli village in Bapatla district and an alleged deterioration of law and order situation in the state, TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu ripped into Reddy and the state government on June 19.

After visiting the boy’s house, Naidu questioned the Chief Minister about his decision to raise the recent acid assault on a lady in Eluru town but not to visit the victim’s family or provide any financial assistance.

In a letter dated June 20 in response to Pawan Kalyan’s request for support in becoming chief minister for the benefit of the state, Mudragada Padhmanabham, a former minister and prominent member of the Kapu community, questioned how the leader of the Jana Sena could make such a unilateral request when he appears eager to run in the 2024 Assembly elections in a coalition with the TDP and the BJP.

When running for 175 Assembly seats, you should request to become the chief minister; however, you should not do so if you are running in a coalition. To conceive of oneself as the CM while running in a coalition is absurd, said Padmanabham.

While the Kapu leaders in the governing YRSC wanted answers from Pawan Kalyan on the problem stated in the letter, the letter angered Jana Sena party officials.

Kalyan resumed his diatribe against the CM and YSRCP leaders while riding in his Varahi car while on a “yatra.” The politician-actor is set to speak at a public gathering today at Malikipuram village, Konaseema district.

In a recent meeting, Kalyan said that he is prepared to take over as chief minister and pledged to make Andhra Pradesh the best state in the nation.

Several saffron party officials enthusiastically participated in the Yoga Day festivities around the state, showing the BJP’s aspirations for AP.
