After India was rejected for the England Tests, Umesh Yadav shared a cryptic Instagram story titled “Kitaabon Par Dhool Jamne se.”

Following the BCCI’s announcement on Saturday of the 17-man team for the next three Test matches against England, Pace Umesh Yadav shared a mysterious Instagram tale. Following Australia’s victory in the World Test Championship Final, Umesh was removed from the Indian Test squad for the next season. The senior pacer is now competing in the Ranji Trophy 2024 for Vidarbha.

After losing the WTC Final for the second time in a row, the Indian cricket team went into a transitional period. Umesh Yadav, Ajinkya Rahane, and Cheteshwar Pujara were omitted by the selectors to allow younger players more opportunities.

Umesh recently scored four runs for Vidarbha, which helped them defeat Jharkhand handily in the Ranji Trophy.

Umesh was left out of the team once again as the BCCI released the roster for the final three Test matches against England on Saturday.

Following the unveiling of the team, Umesh shared a tale on Instagram with the caption, “Stories don’t get over with dust accumulating on books.”

After the tourists won the first Test in Hyderabad, India stormed back to win the second Test in Vizag, tying the five-match series at one.

The third game is set to begin in Rajkot on February 15.

For personal reasons, Virat Kohli, the series’ best batsman, will be missing for the remaining games.

Senior players Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul were chosen by the national selection committee for the team, although their participation is pending approval from the BCCI medical staff. Bengal speedster Akash Deep, who has been acknowledged for his continuous performance in first-class cricket and in the recent India A vs. England Lions Test series, is the only new face in the 17-man roster.

Saurabh Kumar, the left-arm spinner, has been discharged, Jadeja has returned, and Mohammed Siraj has rejoined the team in lieu of Avesh Khan.

In addition to being a skilled bowler, Akash bowls at least ten yards faster than Mukesh Kumar, his Bengal colleague, who is fortunate to keep his spot.

Squad: R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel (WK), KS Bharat (WK), and Rohit Sharma (C).
