After making a lewd gesture on the pitch, Cristiano Ronaldo is suspended for one match

Cristiano Ronaldo has been banned by the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Football Federation (SAFF) for one game after he was seen making a vulgar gesture on the field during a Saudi Pro League match between Al Nassr and Al Shabab.

When Al-Nassr defeated Al-Shabab 3-2 on Sunday, February 25, the event took place. Ronaldo is seen repeatedly pumping his right hand forward in front of his groin while cupping his left ear in a video that has gone viral on social media.

Ronaldo’s gesture seemed to be aimed at some of the fans who attended the match to show support for Al Shabab. The viral video included chants of “Messi, Messi” in the background, implying that some fans attempted to make fun of the Portuguese football star by bringing up their well-known rivalry with the Argentine player.

The committee has officially stated that the forward would be required to pay the Saudi Football Federation a fine of 10,000 Saudi riyals, or $2,666 USD. Furthermore, he has been requested to reimburse Al-Shabab for the expenses incurred in initiating the lawsuit by sending them 20,000 riyals.

The committee was notified that there is no right of appeal for this judgment.
