India’s luck hasn’t been on their side during their Asia Cup campaign, as two of their three games have been postponed due to weather.

Due to rain, India’s initial match against Pakistan at the tournament ended in a tie, and their Super Four stage game against the same team was postponed to a reserve day in order to finish.

Both Sri Lanka and India have one victory. Sri Lanka is ranked second behind India in the points standings, which is topped by India.

Rain caused the match against Pakistan to be postponed on Sunday, although India had started play with a reserve day score of 147-2.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul both scored explosive century the next day, while Kuldeep Yadav claimed five wickets to help India defeat Pakistan by 228 runs in the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four match on Monday at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

India defeated Pakistan by a margin of 228 runs thanks to Kuldeep’s second ODI five-for; Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf opted not to play in the Pakistani chase. India won the top slot in the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4s standings with their huge win.

Earlier, in their Asia Cup Super Four match against Pakistan, India scored 356/2 thanks to Virat Kohli’s legendary effort and KL Rahul’s unrestrained century.

The half-centuries by India’s captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill set the stage, and Kohli and Rahul’s unbroken 233-run stand served as the cherry on top as the former skipper completed the innings with a maximum.

Rahul hit a scorching 111 off of 106 balls, while Kohli concluded his innings with an unbeaten 122 off 94 deliveries.
