As Yashasvi Jaiswal was awarded Player of the Series in the Test match against England, he revealed his plan

Dharamsala: It was fitting that young Yashasvi Jaiswal, who played as the star of the Indian team throughout the five-match Test series against England, was named player of the series. After Sunil Gavaskar did it against the West Indies in the previous century, Jaiswal became only the second Indian player to score 700 or more runs in a Test series with his 701 runs during the series. Jaiswal shared his strategy when accepting his POTS trophy. Jaiswal said he is pleased to put his side in a winning position, claiming that his objective is to take down bowlers.

“I was pleased with how I performed throughout the series and really enjoyed it. I just reasoned that if I can take down a bowler, I will take him down; there is no turning back from my method. I try to take each game as it comes and always consider how I can help my team in order to maintain their lead,” Jaiswal said at the post-game press conference.
