Intel sources claim that Shami’s ongoing trolling is a component of Pakistan’s “frustrated” plan to split sports

At Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, Indian bowler Mohammed Shami stole the show with a seven-wicket performance against New Zealand. The cricket player has been the target of internet trolls because of his faith or after India gets defeated in a game. According to intelligence sources who spoke with News18, the widespread trolling on social media that aims to polarize sports communities is being carried out by hate organizations that are supported by Pakistan’s cyber section, watched over by Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and have profiles located in Pakistan.

Shami was ridiculed for a while during yesterday’s game for dropping a catch made by Kane Williamson, the captain of New Zealand. However, Shami rebounded well after getting rid of Williamson, ending the skipper and Daryl Mitchell’s 181-run third-wicket stand. Shami thereafter said that losing Williamson’s catch made him feel “terrible.”

Trolls often target any action or gesture made by a sports figure, igniting a hate campaign on social media. For example, after India’s World T20 defeat to Pakistan in 2021, Shami was the subject of social media abuse because of his faith.

Trolls headquartered in Pakistan continued to discuss Shami’s faith throughout the current World Cup, even after India defeated Sri Lanka. After taking five wickets against Sri Lanka, Pakistani supporters attacked Shami for allegedly “aborting Sajdah” when he celebrated a wicket by sitting on the ground in that manner. On X, the former Twitter, Indian supporters of Shami, on the other hand, defended him and retaliated against Pakistanis who brought the pacer’s faith into sports.

Indian intelligence sources claim that Pakistan’s “frustration” has been evident for some time now on a number of fronts, most recently in cricket matches. The goal is to undermine Indian cricket players’ morale by bringing up religion and exploiting it to undermine peace and sportsmanship. According to sources, Shami is reportedly the target of several Muslim organizations in India because of his faith.

Nonetheless, the Indian political establishment recognized the “excellent job completed” by the Indian group. Along with praising Shami for his performance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a message on social media that said, “Today’s Semi Final has been even more special thanks to stellar individual performances too.” Cricket fans will remember @MdShami11’s bowling in this match and throughout the World Cup for many years to come. Excellent work, Shami!

Many people were outraged recently by a comment made by former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq, who criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and included star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Despite his apology, the cricket player faced backlash for making an offensive remark about the actress. During a news conference, Razzaq took aim at PCB, saying, “This is what I mean by their (PCB’s) intention.” I knew that my captain, Younis Khan, was trying to do the right thing while I was playing. That gave me courage and strength, and I was able to play well for Pakistani cricket with Allah’s assistance. He went on, “In my perspective, we don’t really plan to develop and enhance the players. If you think that I’ll marry Aishwarya (Rai) in order to produce a morally upright and good-natured kid, then that will never come to pass. You must thus first change your intentions.

The retired all-rounder was criticized on social media by fans and former players, many of whom were from Pakistan. They also demanded an apology from him for his odd remark.
