Pakistan agrees to play India on October 14 in the ODI World Cup 2023, according to a report

The BCCI and ICC are anticipated to formally announce the adjustments in the schedule for the major event, however there is still confusion around the date of India’s important ODI World Cup match against Pakistan. Originally, a matchup between the two bitter rivals was slated to take place on October 15 at Narendra Modi Stadium. However, owing to problems with the deployment of security on the first day of the Navratri celebration in Ahmedabad, the BCCI was forced to postpone the match.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the ICC have agreed to reschedule two of their matches so that Pakistan will play India on October 14 in Ahmedabad, according to a report in PTI.

Babar Azam and company will face Sri Lanka in Hyderabad on October 10 rather than October 12, allowing us a three-day break before the India match.

In order to reschedule two of its group matches, including the one against India in Ahmedabad, the ICC and BCCI have made contact with the PCB.

As it seems that a small number of other games involving other teams will also be postponed, the International Cricket Council (ICC) will shortly announce an amended schedule.

Prior to this, BCCI secretary Shah said that “only date and time will be changed” and that there is a problem with the interval between certain teams’ matches.

Three Full Members of the ICC have voiced concerns about the scheduling. After meeting with the World Cup staging state associations, Shah said that the teams with six-day gaps would be decreased and the ones with two-day gaps would be enhanced.

Shah continued by saying that the BCCI and ICC logistical teams are taking care of the issues and providing assurances that the location won’t change.

“Both the BCCI and ICC logistical teams are working on it. Only the date and time will change; the location won’t,” claims Shah.

The current Pakistani schedule for the 2023 ICC World Cup: Netherlands on October 6 in Hyderabad Sri Lanka on October 12 in Hyderabad. India on October 15 in Ahmedabad. Australia on October 20 in Bengaluru. Afghanistan on October 23 in Chennai. South Africa on October 27 in Chennai. Against Bangladesh on October 31 in Kolkata Day match on November 4 against New Zealand in Bengaluru.
