The scene is set for the Asia Cup 2023 final after a thrilling sequence of matches. The Asia Cup final will pit India against Sri Lanka. The competition has seen some incredible performances from the Men in Blue. They did, however, just lose to Bangladesh in the last match of the Super Four.
India will be aiming for an eighth Asia Cup victory and will be attempting to improve on its past errors. On Sunday, September 17, the historic summit match will take place at the R Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo. In their first Super Four match, India trounced Pakistan by 228 runs before defeating Sri Lanka by 41 runs. However, India was shockingly defeated by Bangladesh by six runs in their most recent encounter. The Men in Blue were unable to win the game despite Shubman Gills’ century. India was defeated by Bangladesh’s unrelenting bowling assault.
In their previous Super Four Asia Cup encounter, Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan, one of the favorites. By scoring 91 runs in 87 balls, Kusal Mendis helped the hosts win by two wickets and advance to the championship game.
