Regarding the selection of Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya for the T20 World Cup, Aakash Chopra remarks, “Some Have Said to Leave One Out and Pick The Other.”

Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya should both be taken into consideration for India’s team in the impending 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup, according to former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra.

Shivam Dube made the most of his opportunities when he was called up for the Afghanistan T20I series. Due to an injury, all-around player Hardik Pandya was unable to play, therefore Dube was given the opportunity to establish himself on the greatest platform. And he did prove himself.

During his return to the Indian team last year, Dube has mostly been warming the bench. The Afghanistan series gave him the opportunity to play. The athletic, hard-hitting all-round player showed that he could handle the Afghan bowlers by smashing back-to-back fifty-scores in Mohali and Indore, along with taking a few wickets off the side with the ball.

Dube concluded the Afghanistan series as India’s leading scorer, demonstrating his versatility with the bat beyond only his impressive bat skills.

Aakash Chopra said that he was reminded of the renowned Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh by Dube’s aggressive batsmanship.

Shivam Dube’s strength is making a lot of noise. In the third match, I thought he was sent off a little too soon. As an attacker rather than a grafter, you may have sent Rinku Singh or Sanju Samson ahead of him. He makes me think of Yuvi, or Yuvraj Singh. Therefore, you should keep him a little lower on the list, Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

Chopra said that careful thought should be given to include both Dube and Hardik in the team for the T20 World Cup.

“His strength was obvious from the way he smacked sixes in the first two sets. Some have even suggested that Dube should be chosen instead of Hardik. I advise keeping both. These three bouts show that Shivam Dube is a serious contender. The former India opener said, “It will be the cherry on top if he does well in the IPL.”

In the next Indian Premier League, Shivam Dube will play for the Chennai Super Kings, while Hardik Pandya is anticipated to return to the Mumbai Indians team prior to the competition starting.
