Rodri believes Manchester City is prepared to win the Champions League

In order to win the Champions League for the first time on Saturday, Manchester City midfielder Rodri thinks the English champions have learnt from their past failures.

With a win versus Inter Milan in Istanbul, City will clinch the triple of the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League.

Two years ago, Pep Guardiola’s team made it to the final for the first time in club history, but they fell to Chelsea in Porto by a score of 1-0.

More misery occurred in the semi-finals of the previous campaign as Real Madrid staged an incredible comeback in the last moments.

But this season’s final four saw Madrid humiliated as City romped to a 5-1 aggregate victory.

If you lose in Europe, Pep allegedly remarked, “You won’t be ‘big, huge’. It’s the test we have to pass again,” the foreigner from Spain added.

“All I can say is that we are prepared for one more final. I’ll simply encourage the men to be themselves. Be certain, true to who you are, and do your best to compete.

Since an Abu Dhabi-backed takeover started investing billions of pounds in City 15 years ago, the club has yearned for Champions League victory.

Erling Haaland’s acquisition a year ago, though, may turn out to be the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle given his 52 goals in 52 games during his rookie year.

“I think that the experience is a very good point,” Rodri said. Additionally, the new players have a significant influence and provide us more each year.

“In my opinion, the team as a whole learns together. Every time, we make an effort to innovate and push our limits.
