SAFF Cup: Pakistan’s Football Team Receives Visa for Indian Competition

After securing visas to enter India on Monday, the way has been cleared for the Pakistani football squad to compete in the SAFF Football Championship.

In order to make it to India in time for their first match against India on January 21 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, the Pakistani squad is reportedly searching for the earliest aircraft out of Mauritius. The game is slated to begin at 7:30 PM.

Their route, however, had not yet been determined.

“Yes, we are aware of the news about the Pakistani team’s visa approval. Before the much awaited encounter against India on Wednesday, we are anticipating that they will arrive in Bengaluru on Tuesday. For this game, we’re looking for a sold-out audience. Under the condition of anonymity, a senior KSFA official told PTI, “We are all ready to stage the match.

The official said that they had been working closely with AIFF and were not currently considering postponing the game.

Before, the SAFF tournament’s start for the Pakistan football squad was in doubt due to the holdup in obtaining the visa required to enter India.

Prior to the SAFF competition, Pakistan had competed in the Four-Nation Cup competition in Mauritius.

Pakistan, which placed bottom on the table with an all-loss record, made a nervous preparation for the top football competition in South Asia. Djibouti won every game they played in the competition, taking home the title.

As a result of the weekend’s non-working days, the Indian Embassy in Mauritius was unable to complete the adjacent nation’s visa application, further aggravating their problems.

The National Sports Board was accused by the Pakistan Football Federation of delaying the NOC’s issuance for a trip to India, but the Board refuted the claim by pointing out that the PFF had filed the NOC application after a significant delay.
