Reigning in his passion for the game, former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, often known to fans as Chinna Thala, will be wearing the yellow jersey for his local team VVIP Uttar Pradesh in the inaugural Indian Veteran Premier League (IVPL).

Raina is returning to his origins as he gets ready to take the helm of VVIP Uttar Pradesh, savoring the years he spent growing up as a player for his own State. Raina, who is widely seen as one of India’s best T20 players, is excited to be playing in the IVPL and showcasing his explosive batting ability and leadership for VVIP Uttar Pradesh.

“Hi to all of you. My name is Suresh Raina, and I’m ecstatic to be playing for Team VVIP Uttar Pradesh in the Indian Veteran Premier League. This is my opportunity to play alongside seasoned cricketers once again,” Raina said in a release.

Former IPL winners Rajat Bhatia and former Australian all-rounder Dan Christian will be playing with Raina in VVIP Uttar Pradesh.
