Veteran Indian bowler Zaheer Khan praised Yashasvi Jaiswal for starting his batting from scratch in the second Test after a stunning series-opening debut against West Indies. Jaiswal made an outstanding 171-run innings to make his debut on the international scene, and he carried on his outstanding play in the second Test with a brilliant half-century at the top.
In contrast to his debut Test, the southpaw batted fluidly while scoring 57 runs on Thursday. He adopted a different style of play and sought out boundaries on a better hitting surface.
Jaiswal pleased Zaheer, who noted that it was wise for him to rebuild his career after an outstanding debut.
