A man hits 27 women in a $75 million defamation lawsuit for calling him “clingy” on Facebook

After receiving criticism in a private Facebook group named “Are We Dating The Same Guy,” a guy from Chicago, USA, launched a defamation lawsuit against Facebook’s parent corporation Meta, 27 women, and one male. Women allegedly utilized the site to “warn” other women about “toxic men” that they had dated or met. The plaintiff, Nikko D’Ambrosio, 32, alleges that she suffered “personal humiliation, mental anguish and suffering, emotional distress, stress, anxiety, and lost earnings” as a result of the women’s postings in the group. He went on to say that doxing and privacy invasion were also caused by the remarks made against his character. He asked the defendants for $75 million in order to make up for this loss.

“The defendants broadcast their outrageous, cruel, and malicious statements about the plaintiff with reckless disregard as to whether or not they were true,” the complaint said.

The statement went on to emphasize that because of the social media group’s secret status and strictly controlled members list, “thousands of men have been potentially defamed by members of the group via these online publications, and remain entirely unaware of the attacks on their character.”

A few postings about D’Ambrosio that he considered defamatory are included in the case. “I went out with him a few times just over a year ago- he told me what I wanted to hear until I slept with him and then he ghosted,” said a different lady in a post about her relationship with D’Ambrosio. I would stay away.
