Australian couple wins a $14 million home, only to discover that half of it is missing

Imagine receiving a home as a present, only to discover after you’ve been over the moon that much of it is missing. Unfortunately, an Australian couple experienced their greatest fear when they learned that all of their hopes had been dashed in a split second. After learning that they had won a mansion valued at Rs 14 crore, the couple learned that half of it was stolen.

Kevin and Andrea Griffin, a married couple, won the Australian house in a contest. They were disappointed, however, after they settled inside the opulent house. It’s because many of the opulent moments were lost. The couple claimed that the previous owner had removed possessions from the Gisborne home that were worth more than Rs 34 lakh.

The irate couple then accused the previous owner of taking the goods from the house as a result of this. The Melbourne real estate billionaire Adrian Portelli and the viewers are criticizing the pair and calling them greedy, suggesting that this approach by the couple failed.

The products’ whereabouts are visible on CCTV video. The video allegedly shows Portelli and a group of guys taking wine, a meat smoker, a treadmill, cooking equipment, and lawnmowers out of the residence. The couple have come out to accuse him of stealing from them and deceiving them after he held a giveaway including all the goods they claim he stole from the residence.

Kevin and Andrea uploaded the CCTV video online in the meanwhile. The Herald Sun quoted Andrea as saying, “We were simply like, what the hell? Why did he act in this way? The change happened after Adrian Portelli bought the opulent Gisborne mansion in November that he missed out on at auction. The couple won the house after paying for membership in Portelli’s firm LMCT+ for more than a year when he placed it as the primary prize in the auction via his lottery company LMCT+.

They received criticism after posting the video, with one of the viewers writing, “You could have given me that home stripped of all the furniture and I would have been over the moon.” Another user said, “Australia’s biggest rental crisis and we have people out here that win a house more than some people would ever earn in their life and they complain.”
