Gurugram man was robbed by a Bumble date who drugged him first and then stole his iPhone, gold, and cash

A frightening event that occurred in Gurugram included a guy who was allegedly the target of a drugging and theft plotted by a lady he had met via the popular online dating app Bumble. The victim, Rohit Gupta, recalled how his date stole not just his phone but also some priceless gold jewelry. She also succeeded in draining his bank accounts of a sizeable amount of Rs. 1.78 lakh.

The sad occurrence took place at Gupta’s home, which is located in DLF Phase 4. In his statement to the police on October 11th, Gupta said that he had been conversing on Bumble with a lady who went by the name Sakshi, also known as Payal. Sakshi identified herself as a Delhi resident who was staying with her aunt in Gurugram for the time being.

On October 1, Sakshi made it clear that she would want to see him in person, according to Gupta. Around ten o’clock, he remembered, she contacted him and asked him to pick her up from Sector 47, next to the Dockyard Bar. They picked her up and then went to a neighboring shop to get some alcohol before going back to his house.

In a startling change of events, Sakshi requested that Gupta get some ice from the kitchen while she stayed in the living room after they had entered his home. It is claimed that she allegedly added an unknown drug to his drink during their short separation. This drug’s effects were so strong that Gupta didn’t wake up till the morning on October 3.

Two days later, when he finally came to, he discovered the awful truth that both Sakshi and a great deal of his belongings were disappeared. This contained an iPhone Pro 14, two gold necklaces believed to be worth Rs. 90,000, Rs. 10,000 in cash, and credit and debit cards, among other things. Following that, 1.78 lakh rupees worth of unauthorized transactions were made using these cards.

The police took prompt action in response to Gupta’s complaint and filed a case against Sakshi at Sector 29 Police Station on Tuesday. At the DLF police station, a FIR has been registered under sections 328 of the Indian Penal Code (which deal with using poison to cause injury) and 380 (which deal with stealing from a dwelling habitation). Sakshi, however, is still evasive and has not yet been captured by the police.
