You Can’t Buy This New “Boring” Flip Phone, Which Is Supposed To Keep You Off The Internet

Our lives have been taken over by smartphones, and the firms that manufacture them suddenly feel bad about how we’ve changed and want to go back to the dull times. HMD Global collaborated with Heineken and Bodega to introduce a novel flip phone that prevents internet access—you can’t use YouTube or WhatsApp, for example—but you can still play the Snake game or have regular conversations with your pals.

For good reason, it’s dubbed the dull phone, yet it nevertheless claims to keep you interested in traditional phone conversations rather than video or chat sessions.

FLIP PHONE WITH A TWIST – ANOTHER BORING PHONE
The Boring Phone’s form first reminds you of the transparent Nothing Phone, but it has a translucent surface that reveals the inside components. The 123-gram gadget has two displays, 4G capability, and is only meant to be used for making calls—not for internet surfing or app use.

It has an internal 2.8-inch primary screen and an external 1.77-inch display for call and message notifications. Although you cannot share the 0.3 MP camera’s flash with others, it does have one. You may use the wired earbuds to listen to the radio, and the maximum storage is 32GB.

Aside from its eye-catching appearance, the Boring Phone’s major draw is that HMD and its partners won’t be selling it anywhere. You did really hear correctly. The phone, which the business is producing in 5000 units, will be given out in the UK and a few other regions.
