In Lakhisarai, Bihar, an autorickshaw crashes with another car, killing eight people and injuring many more

In Lakhisarai, Bihar, early on Wednesday morning, an autorickshaw collided with another vehicle, resulting in the deaths of eight persons and the serious injury of dozens more.

The major route between Lakhisarai and Sikandra is where the accident happened, according to reports. The police reported that the vehicle, which had eighteen occupants, was traveling from Lakhisarai to Sikandra.

After being notified, police arrived quickly, saved the wounded, and took them to the hospital.

According to medical professionals, at least seven patients are receiving treatment for serious injuries.

The wounded were first sent to the Sadar Hospital for treatment, but because of their terrible condition, they were moved to the Patna Medical College Hospital, according an India Today article.

Authorities are looking into the incident and attempting to identify the people who have passed away.
