According to a report, Apple made a staggering $1.65 trillion from iPhone sales over the previous ten years

Thanks to the huge buzz around each new generation of these phones, the iPhone is without a doubt Apple’s most successful product ever, continuously generating substantial income for the Cupertino-based tech firm over the years.

Numerous reports have consistently corroborated this truth. But according to a new analysis by AltIndex, Apple has made an incredible $1.65 trillion from iPhone sales alone over the last ten years.

Apple sold 235 million devices in 2023 as opposed to 153.4 million in 2013, a notable 53% gain. Apple has sold a staggering 2.3 billion iPhones worldwide over the last ten years, according to AltIndex. Samsung, the company’s main competitor, delivered 800 million more cellphones throughout this time.

These numbers are hardly shocking, given that Apple defeated Samsung to take the top spot in the worldwide smartphone market share. According to statistics from the International statistics Corporation (IDC), Apple overtook Samsung in 2023 to take the top rank globally in terms of market share for smartphones. This is the first time that the top spot has changed in more than ten years.

This is a direct result of its increasing exports in a number of different quarters. Apple delivered 80.5 million iPhones in total during the fourth quarter of 2023, a rise of 11.6% from the same period the previous year.

IDC said that the main driver of Apple’s expansion is the company’s growing appeal in developing nations. The largest winner is unquestionably Apple, according to IDC, “even though we saw some strong growth from low-end Android players like Transsion and Xiaomi in the second half of 2023, stemming from rapid growth in emerging markets.”
