In India, the Yamaha MT-03 and Yamaha YZF-R3 are expected to debut in December. However, Yamaha seized the chance to present these motorcycles at the Bharat MotoGP 2023 in advance of their planned release. In July 2023, both bikes made their formal premiere in India. While the MT-03 is being released in India for the first time, the Yamaha YZF-R3 is making its way back there after a three-year absence.

The YZF-R3 is similar to its predecessor but has been updated with additional features such an M1-inspired false air inlet and LED split-type headlights and indicators. The split-seat layout and LED tail light are kept in the back part. The redesigned R3 has a 14-litre petrol tank, digital instruments, clip-ons with new switchgear, and a tinted windshield.

The MT-03, on the other hand, has a sporty appearance with a droid-like front fascia and LED projector headlights and DRLs. The fuel tank has chiseled extensions and cladding, while the tail end has the same split-seat layout and LED tail light as the R3. It has a broad one-piece handlebar and digital instrumentation.

The 321cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin DOHC engine used in the MT-03 and YZF-R3 is shared by both vehicles. This engine produces 29.5 Nm of torque and 41.4 horsepower of power. It is connected to a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch.

Additional Features for the Yamaha MT-03 and Yamaha YZF-R3
The future YZF-R3 and MT-03 share a number of essential parts and characteristics, including rear monoshocks with 125 mm of travel and 298 mm front and 220 mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. Additionally, they include design features including LCD instrument displays, LED indicators, LED taillamps, and twin LED headlights.
