Blazeclan to be acquired by ITC Infotech for Rs 485 crore

The technology division of the well-known tobacco company, ITC Infotech, said on Thursday that it has reached an agreement to purchase all of the shares in cloud services provider Blazeclan Technologies for a sum of Rs 485 crore.

 

Blazeclan, based in Pune, provides cloud services to clients worldwide on AWS, Azure, and GCP. The company bills itself as an elite partner of Snowflake, an AWS premier partner, and a provider of cloud migration, data analytics, and digital cloud consulting services that accelerate digital transformation through native cloud services and migration accelerators.

ITC Infotech thinks that the purchase would improve the business’s capacity to provide customer support in a multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environment. The business plans to establish cloud competence centers in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and India in order to further expand its worldwide reach.

ITC Infotech’s managing director and CEO, Sudip Singh, stated that this acquisition will greatly bolster the company’s capabilities and allow it to advance scalable in the cloud industry. It will also give the company access to important opportunities that will allow it to unlock greater business value for its clients.

Blazeclan’s founder and CEO, Varoon Rajani, said that the transaction is anticipated to occur in six to eight weeks, subject to usual closing conditions.
