Dabur projects sales increase in the mid-single digits for Q4

FMCG giant Dabur anticipates a mid-single digit increase in its consolidated sales for the just finished March quarter due to weak demand patterns. According to the corporation, customer demand was “challenging” in the previous year, but it should increase moving forward.

Demand patterns persisted in being slow throughout the quarter. Reductions in basic food prices spurred rural development and narrowed the gap between rural and urban areas. We anticipate that consumption would increase in the next months due to the favorable view for the rabi crop harvest and the regular monsoon prediction, according to a regulatory filing released on Thursday by Dabur India Ltd.

Dabur continued, saying that the base now takes into account the inorganic revenue increase, which was 2.3% YTD through December 2023 as a result of the Badshah purchase. The firm said that because to cost-saving measures and input cost deflation, gross margins are expected to continue to grow. After this information was released, Dabur’s stock fell 4.7% to settle at Rs 507.25 a share on Thursday, its 52-week low.
