Eetretail outlines its ambitions for growth and new leadership

With great pleasure, EET Fuels’ retail subsidiary, EET Retail, announces the appointment of Narayan Bhatra to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

At Nayara Energy, the second-biggest oil and gas firm in India and the nation with the fastest-growing network of private gasoline stations, Narayan held the position of Chief Retail Officer.

With more than thirty years of experience, he has held managerial positions in the energy business with Essar and Reliance Industries in both Africa and India.

As part of its goal to become the UK’s “retailer of choice to consumers,” EET Retail intends to build a sizable portfolio of gasoline retail shops bearing the Essar brand within three years.

In addition to expanding its network of stores in all areas and markets, EET Retail plans to establish a pan-UK presence and look for chances to acquire businesses in order to quicken its expansion.

EET Retail’s long-term plan in the era of new mobility involves meeting the demands of drivers who choose e-mobility by providing a selection of high-quality, low-carbon fuels. These fuels will be made available in a setting where customers may choose from a customized assortment of products, including non-fuel choices.

“I am excited to be joining EET Retail now,” said Narayan Bhatra. Given EET Fuels’ significant investment in its decarbonization plans at Stanlow and construction of a world-class hydrogen production plant, it has the potential to provide a really market-leading offering for low carbon high quality fuels. Its growth strategy is both clear and ambitious.

“We are starting this exciting journey of growth and innovation in the retail sector in the UK and are confident in Narayan’s leadership,” said Deepak Maheshwari, CEO of EETFuels. EET Retail aims to establish a network of relationships that center upon Essar’s customer-first philosophy while providing best-in-class gasoline outlets. With Narayan’s appointment, EET has reached a major milestone, and we are enthusiastic about the prospects that lie ahead under his direction.

Part of EET, which is dedicated to helping the UK economy become less carbon-intensive, is EET Fuels. The company has big aspirations to develop an energy transition park at its location in the North West and become the country’s first low-carbon process refinery. This is in line with the British Energy Security Strategy and the Ten Point Plan on the Green Industrial Revolution from the UK government.

“EET Fuels is a key part of Essar Energy Transition and we are committed to maintaining a strong, secure manufacturing base for fuels in the North West and throughout the UK,” said Tony Fountain, Managing Director of EET. Our strategy gives our clients the peace of mind that they are dealing with a partner that is dedicated to decarbonizing our manufacturing processes, helping the UK meet its climate change targets, and improving energy security. I’m excited to collaborate with Narayan to convey to our retail clients our industry-leading dedication.
