Three variations of SBI Card’s first travel-focused core credit card, known as SBI Card MILES, have been introduced. SBI Card MILES ELITE, SBI Card MILES PRIME, and SBI Card MILES are the three variations.

The card is intended to provide comprehensive travel perks to travelers of all stripes, from avid travelers to aspirant travelers, according to a statement released on Wednesday by SBI Card, the biggest pure-play credit card issuer in India.

SBI Card MILES offers a plethora of perks on these cards. The ability to convert travel credits into hotel and airline miles, quick rewards for each trip booked, and access to airport lounges are some of the best features.

More than 20 airline and hotel companies have associated with the card, including Qantas Airways, Air Vistara, Air India, Spicejet, Air France-KLM, Etihad Airways, Air Canada, Thai Airways, ITC Hotels, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Accor. Cardholders have complete control over how they choose to redeem their card thanks to the partnership with various companies.

SBI Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara said during the card introduction, “India’s position in the world has been accentuated by the strong economic growth and robust consumption landscape.” India is regarded as one of the major source markets for outbound travel in many nations, including those in Asia and Europe, even in the travel industry today. I applaud SBI Card for introducing SBI Card MILES, a potent offering that will transform Indian customers’ travel experiences.

Through carefully chosen travel incentives, the three versions—SBI Card MILES ELITE, SBI Card MILES PRIME, and SBI Card MILES—have been created to enhance these experiences, according to SBI Card.

With every Rs 200 spent on travel, cardholders may accrue up to 6 travel credits, and with every Rs 200 spent on other categories, they can accrue up to 2 travel credits. Through the services included in the “SBI Card MILES” bouquet, cardholders may redeem travel credits on a variety of well-known airlines and lodging partners quickly and easily.

Transform travel credits into hotel points or airline miles.
By using the SBI Card website or mobile app, users may book flights and hotel stays by converting these travel credits into air miles or hotel points of their respective partners. As an alternative, they may also be redeemed via the SBI Card rewards catalog.

“Our customer-centric approach has always driven us to design innovative products, solutions, and services that address the evolving and diverse lifestyle needs and offer customers an extremely rewarding experience,” said Abhijit Chakravorty, MD and CEO of SBI Card, during his speech at the launch.

He continued, saying, “SBI Card MILES is our aim to provide our clients the best of all the travel perks. Indian travelers are big worldwide spenders, so it makes sense that with increasing and more extensive travel plans, consumers are searching for customized benefits to improve their travel experiences. The card is intended to be the cardholders’ only travel companion. We are certain that the special advantages provided by our travel-focused core card will be appreciated by our cardholders.
